South Australian Company /ˌsaʊθ əˈstreɪliən ˈkʌmpəni/ n. A joint-stock enterprise established in 1835, with George Fife Angas as its director, aimed at promoting investment and colonisation in South Australia. The company played a critical role in the early development of the colony, contributing to its economic and infrastructural growth. Though it was dissolved in 1949, its influence on the settlement and expansion of South Australia was significant, particularly in agriculture, commerce, and real estate.[1]
