Allan Williams was involved in a failed murder mission to kill Detective Michael Drury for $100,000. During the attempt, shots were fired from the garden area of Drury’s Chatswood home, wounding the detective. Williams fled but was arrested in 1987 and pleaded guilty to conspiring with Christopher "Rent-A-Kill" Flannery and Roger Rogerson to murder Drury. He received a 14-year sentence for conspiracy and attempted murder. Williams later threatened revenge on Rogerson, but his life ended due to heroin addiction and a serious illness before he could act on it.

Rogerson, a decorated policeman, was alleged to have helped plan the attempted execution of Drury after the detective refused a bribe offer from Rogerson. It was claimed that Rogerson was standing next to Flannery in Drury’s garden when the shots were fired, but this accusation was never proven. Rogerson developed close relationships with several criminals, including Williams, who were linked to his illegal activities. Despite the allegations, Rogerson denied any involvement in the plot against Drury.[1]
